On Friday, 5 December 2025 at the General Assembly of the Austrian Academy of Sciences, AITHYRA Directors Michael Bronstein and Georg Winter shed light on the rapid integration of AI into biomedical research. The presentations and the follow-up discussion moderated by President Heinz Faßmann were open to members of the Academy and the interested public.
The OeAW is currently comprising over 770 esteemed scholars from Austria and abroad. This Learned Society consists of full members, honorary members, corresponding members and members of the Young Academy. The members belong to the Division of Mathematics and Natural Sciences or to the Division of Humanities and Social Sciences. Members meet regularly in general assemblies which include a public sitting in which issues of relevance to society are discussed.
