Founded in 2024, AITHYRA brings together AI and life-science expertise from academia, industry, and start-ups. With a generous donation from the Boehringer Ingelheim Foundation, the Austrian Academy of Sciences (OeAW) is hosting AITHYRA in Vienna. AITHYRA will grow into 10–14 research groups with global collaborators and state-of-the-art AI-driven labs in Vienna.
AITHYRA will become a place where magic happens
AITHYRA will combine the best of academic, corporate, and start-up worlds, and will have a mixture of AI and life science experts. Research at AITHYRA will be conducted in close collaboration between computer scientists, biologists, chemists, engineers, and medical doctors and involve AITHYRA core Principal Investigators (PIs) as well as Global Adjunct PIs and a wide network of international collaboration partners.
